Provided further that if a citizen of Saint Vincent and
the Grenadines or of another CARICOM or an OECS member
state of the Commonwealth renounces his respective citizenship,
he shall not be qualified to be elected as a Representative or a
Senator while such renunciation continues;
(b) holds or is acting in the office of President;
or last held that office within a period of
not less than five years immediately
preceding his nomination for election;
(c) holds or is acting in the office of judge of the
Supreme Court;
(d) subject to such exceptions and limitations as
may be prescribed by Parliament, holds or is
acting in any public office or is a paid
member of any disciplined force of Saint
Vincent and the Grenadines;
(e) is an undischarged bankrupt, having been
adjudged or otherwise declared bankrupt
under any law;
(f) is a person certified to be insane or otherwise
adjudged to be of unsound mind under any
law;
(g) is under sentence of death imposed on him by
a court of law in any part of the
Commonwealth or any other country
prescribed by Parliament or is serving a
sentence of imprisonment (by whatever name
called) exceeding twelve months imposed on
him by such a court or substituted by
competent authority for some other sentence
imposed on him by such a court, or is under
such a sentence of imprisonment the
execution of which has been suspended; or
(h) subject to such exceptions and limitations as
may be prescribed by Parliament, has any
